The Book Jar Project

Mission:

The Book Jar Project aims to encourage and inspire children and their parents to read more books.

What is it?

It is a fun and easy way to keep track of the books your child reads every day!

How does it work?

After reading a book, simply grab a book card, fill in the date, the child’s name and the title of the book. Then, fold the card in half and insert it into their book jar. It’s that simple!

“The more books your child reads, the fuller their book jar gets!”

Johanna, Founder of STOP READ GO

It’s never too early or too late to start. Start by keeping track of the books you read to your baby or toddler. Build a habit of reading every day and watch their jar (and their brains) fill up with fun stories, exciting adventures, advanced vocabulary, interesting facts and lots of knowledge!

This not only allows you to keep a visual count of the number of books your child reads, but it also serves as an incentive to motive your child to read even more books in order to fill their jar. You can even keep the filled jar as a keepsake!

Need a Book Jar?

Get your child their very own book jar and get refills of their book cards from our SHOP.

We are also looking to partner with libraries and schools to bring the book jars to your area. If you are a librarian or an educator and would like to participate in THE BOOK JAR PROJECT, please reach out to contact@stopreadgo.com for more information.

Help us spread the word!

Sharing is caring 🙂 Take a picture of your child with their book jar and share it with your friends and family.
